Production

I chose a simple template: I decided with the education section and chose the ABC website as I felt it would be best to work with as I feel it represents a school more than the others and the layout was simple.

When I chose the template I started by removing everything on the website so I had a clean slate.

On the home page, I changed the colour scheme to make it more simple and also chose the layout as I feel it looks more 'professional' and it is easy to workaround.
I then chose the four photos for the front of the website, three I took with a DSLR the other one I took from online with the permission from Springboard.
I chose these photos as they show things to do with the course.

This is what it looked before I Changed it, I decided to change it as it was too colourful and didnt appeal for a media course

I then made the about the course page, I looked on the actual CWA website and the level 3 media course description and reworded it as I didn't want to get in trouble for plagiarism. I also decided to put in some future careers that could happen after taking this course. I left this page simple as there isn't really much that needs to be on this page.

This is what the about page looked like before hand, I changed it as again I felt it was overly colourful and too much going on for the theme I was going for

On the meet the staff page, I asked the staff members permission to get their photos and I also asked for a little description of them so I could put it with their name and photo. I decided to use these members of staff as you will see them the most.

I didnt have a 'our programmes' page as there are no programmes in the course, I decided to change it to meet the staff as it would give you a chance to 'meet' who works on the course and their history in media

The facilities page has a moving photo slide show which contains the same images as the home page, this page also has a little description about the facilities.

Here is what it looked like before hand, I decided to remove the Parents page as I believe college doesnt need that as its meant to be for independence. also, the parents can just contact the college if they need to, they dont need their own page

The contact us page is also very simple as it only contains the address, phone number and email.

I changed the apply now to a contact us page as it was simpler and followed my theme better, I also added an Apply now button to the top of all the pages.

MY FEEDBACK:
  •  Good relevant text, gives relevant information about L3 media, it looks professional, layout is clear however at the moment its a bit bare, there isn't enough content or images with I assume you will add in later

  • Really nice animated photo, interesting. Appropriate font choices however I would say that you should limit your variety of fonts. Make sure that text of the same kind are the same size and font such as paragraphs. Really nice, easy, legible layout, very simplistic design, just consider using a colour palette maybe.

  • Easy contrasting colour, the text is easy to read, photos need to be added in place holders, more information needed on each page, May want to add different colours to make it more interesting.

  • More images, nice font and colour choice, cool animations, like the rotating home screen, more information

  • I like the bold fonts used throughout this website as it would show, label and explain all the information that I need to be shown clearly. I can tell this website isn't completed yet however I'm sure it will be great when it's done.

  • Good images, good fonts maybe add more images perhaps add more colour

  • I like how modern and minimalistic the site looks, add more photos

  • This is a very nice start to the website, I like the slideshow of potential pictures and the relevant information. I'd say get actual pictures to add in, get the contact page filled in and if you can on the staff page, build up a profile for each member perhaps if you'd like it.
